IP Migration & Porting Services

IN2FAB’s design porting and migration services deliver the fastest, lowest-risk path to translating existing schematic and layout databases across manufacturing processes and foundries. Built on production-proven migration technology, our services preserve silicon-validated design intelligence while eliminating the time, cost, and uncertainty associated with redesign.

IN2FAB supports migration projects ranging from small, self-contained IP blocks to the most complex, large-scale analog IP, including PHY layers, high-performance data converters, and wireless systems. Our services scale seamlessly with design size and complexity, supporting deep hierarchy, dense layouts, and advanced PDK constructs across analog, mixed-signal, and custom digital technologies—spanning a broad range of process nodes and foundries.

Migration Analysis

IN2FAB's migration project analysis delivers a comprehensive review of the requirements for porting schematic and layout data.  Identifying and documenting the requirements for porting to a new process or foundry .

Once completed, migration analysis provides a wealth of technical detail, along with cost, schedule, and design management frameworks, delivering a comprehensive overview and plan for the full migration project

Migration Services

The IP migration service option is the fastest way to port IP to a new foundry or process.  IN2FAB's engineers translate schematics and layout to adapt it to the new PDK and design rules. Delivering IP that is translated and verified in a new foundry process.

Migration services allow customers to take advantage of IN2FAB's dedicated migration team to deliver turnkey migrated silicon.

Sample Projects

IN2FAB's migration services group has ported hundreds of circuits between manufacturers and process nodes.  From core library IP, to complex circuits, the migration service group delivers the fastest way to move critical IP from one node to another.

IN2FAB's engineers perform a full analysis of porting requirements before each project starts, giving a full overview of costs, schedules and technical detail.  Circuits have been ported between all of the major foundries and several IDMs, delivering true process flexibility for analog and mixed signal IP.
